
Overview
The Aging Compass © is a guided digital planning tool that helps older adults and their caregivers to proactively plan and prepare for transitions in key areas of later life, to reduce crisis-driven decisions, lower preventable risks, and provide greater choice and security.
This proactive navigational tool helps to prevent or reduce the stress of overwhelming, and stressful situations for older adults and their caregivers.
Background
The Aging Compass is based on the content and conceptual framework of the guidebook called, “Options Open: The Guide for Mapping Your Best Aging Journey ©” authored by Sue Lantz | LinkedIn Managing Director of Collaborative Aging. Users are guided on how to tailor plans, seek the best expert advice and prepare for transitions that yield the best with their health, housing, social or neighborhood networks, caregiving team, and use of money and other resources.
This Aging Compass prototype has been developed by Collaborative Aging with federal research funding support from NSERC in collaboration with Humber Polytechnic.
